Sophia Hyland-Wolzak is from Northern Virginia, USA, and lives in Melbourne, Australia. She also grew up in Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Japan. She was a finalist in Writer’s Digest’s Short Short Story Competition and Midway Journal’s Action/Words Poetry Contest. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Midway Journal, Cordite Poetry Review and Rabbit. She is a past winner of The Letter Review Prize for Poetry. She was a participant in the inaugural Granta Writers’ Workshop in Short Fiction. Outside of writing, she works as a client support administrator in community palliative care.
